His classical 7,5 years training at the prestigious Coimbatore Ayurveda College together with intensive Yoga and Sanskrit studies give him excellent expertise in all fields of this healing science. After several years of thorough teaching at the renowned Coimbatore Ayurveda College, Dr. Jeevan E.P. turned to the challenging task of teaching students of international origin. In 1995 he opened a successful practice in Italy and worked together with western doctors. During this time Ayurveda Care was established in Germany as an institution of teaching in connection with international study trips. Known for his dynamic teaching style and charismatic personality, Dr. Jeevan E.P. himself embodies the benefits that Ayurveda offers for a healthy life.

Born into an eminent family of teachers, teaching is in my blood. My studies in Ayurveda was at Coimbatore ayurveda College under the the AVP Group of Institutions where I learned about traditional Ayurveda in a Gurukula system for 7 ½ years from 1982 to 1989. During the time of 1980,s so many westereners were interested to study, practice and get it cured by Ayurveda. After finishing my University degree in Ayurveda, one of my teacher told me to take the opportunity to teach and propagate Ayurveda by starting a 3 months basic course for westerners with Yoga option at Coimbatore Ayurveda college. In 1995 by travelling to Italy for conducting several courses on Ayurveda at Rome, Padova and Trieste, I have established along with my Italian students, 2 clinics at Rome. I have travelled a lot not only in Italy but also in different smaller places of Germany to propagate Ayurveda for the general public.

Lannestadt, Neckagermund, Bad Windsheim, Bad Endorf, Bad Rappenau, Erlangen, Oberstimm, Bad Pyramont are some of the places where long term courses in Ayurveda were taught. Apart from that, Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich and Hamburg were the main cities we (Students and my self) concentrated from courses and treatments. We have Established clinics with my students in different cities and helped to make a net work on Ayurveda. I am happy about the help and enthusiasm given my students to go on with ayurveda in Germany.I traveled the length and breadth of Germany, Italy and France searching for the location that would embody the soul of Ayurveda Care, a location that would bring Serenity to life. We finally found this in the foothills of the Alps, Chiemgau region, where people have visited for centuries to be healed and to find rest and rejuvenation. This reality led me to discover the purpose of a different kind of Ayurveda center, and we named it as Home Care Ayurveda at Bad Endorf not just one which could proudly uphold India’s heritage of Ayurveda service, but one which could also provide an escape from the city life in order to assist people on a journey of medical well-being. the year 1996, The seed for Ayurveda Care was planted in 1996, and I am completely satisfied with the German population who has taken this knowledge of India with open hands and mind with complete dedication.

My Guru Parampara                                                                       || AUM GUM GURUBHYO NAMAH |

“Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu, Guru Devo Maheshwara; Guru Sakshat Param Brahma, Tasmai Shri Guravay Namah”.

Guru  who is the Lord of Creation or Generator,  organiser and  the destroyer),  the supreme god or almighty. Since Guru leads to a path of light, Guru is that Para Brahma. Thus, as a realized soul, Guru is the embodiment of Para Brahma, the ultimate Godhead.

My Vedic Tradition.

Late Brahmasri Anangananda Natha (Gurunathan) was an adept of “Para Sakti” – the primordial energy, under Tantric knowledge. The method is “Srī Chakra” (“Srī Yantra” or “Sri Vidya”). Srī Chakra is the symbolic representation of the Cosmos in its entirety. Gurunathan’s intent was to establish Tantra sadhana in its full divinity and dispel possible ambiguity among people. He implied that he followed the Kaula School. Gurunathan was called Dr. S. Vijayan in his Purvasram and had entered medical profession after qualifying from medical college in Trivandrum, Kerala.

Though Gurunathan was in the medical profession, his interests were more in Ayurveda, Astrology, Acupuncture, Sanskrit and subjects related to Indian spiritual heritage. He got into several spiritual disciplines starting from Swamini Remadeviji who initiated him into the worship of Chamunda. He had an association with Swami Sivananda of Divine Life Society, during his wanderings in the Himalayas, in whose ashram he spent a year. Although he wanted to take sanyasa and live a life of spiritual practice and pursuits, Swami Sivananda encouraged him to take up family life and undertake the spiritual practice of Sri Chakra upasana. It was thus, in 1976, that his search for the ULTIMATE ended with the meeting with SRIMAD YOGISANANDA NATHA (Sri Neelakant Joshiji), at Rameshvaram, who was the Chief acharya of Rameshvaram Temple. He was also the acharya of the Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry. He belonged to the established “Bhaskaraya Parampara”.His source of Sakti was his wife, Dr. Ramalakshmi, who practiced obstetrics for many years. Brahmasri Anangananda Natha attained Maha samadhi on 17th June 2005.

Late P. R. Krishna Kumar (23 September 1951 – 16 September 2020) was managing director of The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (Coimbatore) Ltd. He was my mentor, teacher in so many fields. He founded the AVP Research Foundation, a non-profit organisation. The Government of India awarded him the fourth-highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2009, for his contributions to Ayurveda, promoting research in the Ayurveda. In 1977, he conceived and implemented a seven and a half year curriculum for Ayurvedic studies, first affiliated to the University of Madras and later to the Bharathiar University. The course introduced Ayurvedic studies along with components of spiritual practices, traditional martial arts, and was set in a gurukula-based living arrangement. The curriculum came to be known in academic circles as the “Coimbatore Experiment”. In the same year, he initiated the first ever clinical research to study the efficacy of Ayurvedic medicines for rheumatoid arthritis, in a joint study with the World Health Organization and the Indian Council of Medical Research. The foundation initiated several research programs which included a study, funded jointly with the National Institutes of Health, and conducted by the University of Washington, Seattle, and the University of California Los Angeles, California, to ascertain the efficacy of ayurvedic medicines in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.

Despite being the head of a leading Ayurvedic firm, Krishna Kumarjisupports a vaidya-centred approach, rather than a product-centred one.

The vaidya is a guardian, messenger, and practitioner of authentic Ayurveda. – Krishnakumarji.

Late Dr.Moosad Sir,Principal ofAyurveda college coimbatore. My teacher in Basic principles ofAyurveda  (SUTRA).

Do not consider Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Only consider the guna karma vikalpa. There will be a day when even the American president will bow to Ayurveda.      – Moosad sir 1982

Late Vaidyamadhom Cherya Narayan Namboothiri,  is one of the famous Ashthavaidya families in Kerala the only extant family belonging to the Bharadwajiya group. In the 1950s, he witnessed Kuti Praveshika Chikithsa, the famous treatment using rasayanas to reverse ageing and counteract diseases. In 1989 I have studied a lot tradition Ayurveda practices more than the university studies.

When the business comes in the medical sciences, the purpose of doctors are lost either in Allopathy or in Ayurveda. To make money there are several methods but not a service oriented medical system-                -Vaidyamadham  2005

Everything in the world is only properties Guna. Its permutations and combinations are only the functions and structures.  Reasonable, Rational theories. That is Ayurveda. Not empirical at all. Like mathematics. 1 to 9 is a liner development of numbers.  Same way is the also the  diseases                                                                  –  Murali sir.

If you do not follow the fundamental theoretical principles of Ayurveda, it is difficult to follow the nidana panchaka, dravyaguna. Dhathu samya is very important. That is samanya vishesha. If you know exact formula of a combination of yoga, it is also possible to add or deduct the plants depends on the different disease conditions.                                                                    – Sasidharan Sir.

I always prefer Charakasamhitha, because it is so elaborate and dealing with the individual and the universe. Every Indian sastra has two dimensions. Vyashti and Samashti. Individual and collectiveness. The diversity and uniformity. This idea is projected in Charaka Samhitha.                                                                        -Vasudevan Sir

I also pay respect to my colleagues, friends and students who has supported me to improve my career in the field of Ayurveda.
